48 hour Endurance Event

I trusted the Flextail Tiny Helio to be my main headlamp for a recent 48 hour endurance event. I mainly used it in low-red. Battery life was incredible. Had zero problems, light weight, stayed where I put it and angle remained where I set it. Love this light.

Great lightweight headtorch

Very light, bright torch. Easy to use, seems good quality. Compared to my nitecore 27 it's a bit brighter. Nice.

Bright AND Light

Got this for a backpacking trip to Philmont. I camp A LOT with Boyscouts and the battery on this is amazing and super bright. I also love that you can press and hold both buttons at the same time so it doesn’t “accidentally “ turn on in my bag and saves from wasting battery. Can’t recommend this light enough.

Great Little Headlamp

I’ve got a handful of different headlamps but this is the one I’m using the most at the moment. I love my Olight and Fenix head torches but my little Flextail Helio 600Z is the one I grab for our evening dog walk:-

• It’s very bright- I usually turn it down to the middle floodlight setting (the more directional spotlight setting is useful for more distant stuff).
• Extremely lightweight.
• Comfortable- the adjustable elastic shock cords and foam pad on the unit itself, look simple- and they are- but they’re surprisingly comfortable, especially if worn over a fleecy hat! The elastic also has very effective reflective threads woven into it and will be easily replaceable if it ever wears out.
• The unit HELIO 600Z is entirely plastic but build quality seems okay so far and, British weather being what it is, it's survived a couple of soakings too.
• Battery life. I’ve got both the 600mAh and the 900mAh powered lights and they do a week’s worth of 30-40 minute dog walks in between charges no problem.
• Value for money- under £30 is really pretty good.
• Adaptability. Besides offering two spotlight and three floodlight brightness levels, by holding the spotlight button down it also offers a choice of slow or rapid white light strobe and, by holding the floodlight button down, a red light or red light strobe.

Overall this headlamp is simple to operate and well-priced. I like it.
I also bought a small Amazon Basics camera case which is a perfect size to store the light and charging cable.
